The Will of the Wisp – AVAILABLE NOW!

The Will of the Wisp is available to buy now! At long last, after three and a bit years it is on the shelves – out there for everyone to see. I can honestly say I feel a lot of closure in its release; in a true ‘sophomore slump’ sort of situation, I wondered whether the novel would ever see the light of day. After Tenebrae Manor was completed in late 2013, the question begged as to my ability to produce another novel (at least in a personal sense for myself).

It was an awkward beast – The Will of the Wisp is half the length of Tenebrae Manor, yet it took twice as long to write! Make of that what you will; I was perhaps too hard on myself with it, thinking that I didn’t like it enough to bother publish it. It was only after I went back and read through that first draft manuscript that I was able to appreciate it properly. I can say now that I like the work, I think it’s a good book, and I hope that my readers will enjoy this new offering.

Anyway, enough maudlin blathering. The Will of the Wisp is available on Amazon now. Paperback copies are just $10 USD, those with Kindle can get an ebook version for $3 USD. A big congratulations to the five readers who won a paperback copy in my Goodreads giveaway – your winnings have been posted and should reach you shortly.

To any and all who read The Will of the Wisp – I do hope you enjoy it, and let it be known I appreciate feedback and reviews. Amazon and Goodreads both offer platforms to rate and review books, so I would highly suggest jumping on one of them (or both!) and sharing your thoughts on the book – be they good or bad! It helps me spread the word on my work, and also helps me hone my craft for future endeavours.

New Book Prologue

I am excited to share the ‘work-in-progress’ prologue of my forthcoming novel, code named Ignis Fatuus for now. As the book is still being written, what you see below may differ in the final product, but I wanted to share this with those waiting patiently for my next work. It may be a little rough around the edges – some grammar to correct here and a plot hole to patch there – such is life when it comes to drafts. I am working hard to get this new novel finished and hope to tie it all up by the end of 2016, with an early 2017 release date. But for now, enjoy this snippet and get ready for a new story!

A while back (probably a year knowing me) I mentioned that I had another novel in the works. This remains truth and I am pleased to say it is inching closer towards completion. ETA? Who knows. I’d love to say Q4 2016 but these things can’t be rushed. If I’m feeling bold I may be sharing the prologue of my new work very shortly.

It will please you to hear that this writer has begun working on his second novel. The creative juices are flowing an there are a number of drafts and chapters and characters and studies flying around this bedraggled brain in a grotesque attempt to craft another work I can be proud of. As I hope you can understand, these things are better unhurried, and while I hope to be able to share something soon, I hope those eager can reserve a little patience. More to come!
